The new groups and pages feature allows you to more easily create, edit, and manage groups and pages, making your surveys more organized.
If you're new to surveys, we recommend starting with the Survey Structure Levels, which provides a simple introduction to the definitions and relationships of questions, groups, option group, and pages.
Creating a Group
You can create a new group in two ways:
Drag-and-Drop Method
Click the question number or question type icon and drag it onto another single question card to create a new group. The group name will automatically be set to "Untitled Question Group" after dragging.
Button Method
Select at least two questions or groups, then click the "Add" button to create a new group.
A group card will contain all the questions within the group. You can drag questions within the group to change the order or drag questions from the question type menu on the right to add questions to the group. Note that divider cannot be used within a group.
Group Functionalities
Randomization within Question Group
Click "Randomization within Question Group," and the order of the questions within the group will be randomly changed each time the survey is opened. This feature is part of the paid plan. For more settings, refer to this help center article: Randomization.
Group Name and Group Description
Group names and descriptions help editors easily identify and annotate groups, but they will not be displayed in the final survey. You can freely modify the group name as needed. Click the text on the group title to edit the group name, or click "Question Group Description" within the group functionalities to add annotation notes.
Copy Question Group
Click "Copy Question Group" to quickly copy a new group, saving you the hassle of creating a group from scratch.
Hide Question Group
If you want to hide all questions within a specific group, click "Hide Question Group" to hide the entire group. You can decide to show or hide the group as needed at any time.
Ungroup
If you want to disband the group into individual question cards, click "Ungroup" to easily achieve this. After disbanding, the questions will revert to single question cards, allowing you to manage and arrange the questions freely or reassemble them into new groups.
Delete Question Group
Click "Delete Question Group" to permanently delete a group. A confirmation window will appear, and once confirmed, all questions within the group and related settings will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored. Note: If the survey has been sent out and responses have been collected, deleting the group will also delete the response data for that group.
FAQ
If I have cross-page settings such as option source, skip logic, conditional branching, etc., will these functions still work after modifying pages?
Yes, all cross-page functions will continue to work normally without any disruptions.
